Article I – Introduction & Purpose
The Sciforce Membership program is established to recognize and unite professionals, researchers, academicians, and innovators dedicated to advancing knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and applied research domains.
Membership is structured into three levels:
1. Member – Entry-level recognition for qualified professionals and researchers.
2. Senior Member – Recognition of significant contributions, experience, and leadership.
3. Fellow Member – The highest honor, reserved for those who have achieved outstanding distinction and global recognition in their fields.
The purpose of these bylaws is to establish a governance framework, membership standards, and procedural guidelines for the admission, progression, and recognition of Sciforce Members.
Article II – Governance Framework
1. The Membership program shall operate under the authority of the Sciforce Governing Council.
2. Oversight of membership admissions and reviews shall be delegated to the Membership Committee.
3. The Fellow Selection Committee shall govern Fellow nominations and ensure compliance with global standards of distinction.
4. Amendments to these bylaws may be enacted only with approval from the Sciforce Governing Council.
Article III – Membership Standards
1. Member
• Open to academicians, research scholars, students, and professionals in recognized institutions or industries.
• Requires a demonstrated commitment to professional and academic development.
2. Senior Member
• Reserved for individuals with at least 10 years of professional or academic experience.
• Must demonstrate notable contributions in research, education, leadership, or industry practice.
• Requires endorsement by two existing Senior Members or Fellows.
3. Fellow Member
• Exclusive and distinguished recognition, reserved for individuals with sustained international or national recognition.
• Fellows must demonstrate outstanding contributions, leadership, and original innovations that have significantly influenced their fields.
• Fellowship shall not be honorary or automatic; it is earned through peer-reviewed selection.
Article IV – Eligibility Criteria
Member Eligibility
• Enrollment or employment in a recognized academic, research, or professional institution.
• Interest in actively contributing to Sciforce activities, publications, and events.
Senior Member Eligibility
• At least 10 years of professional experience in academia, research, or industry.
• Evidence of published work, leadership roles, patents, or industry recognition.
• Strong endorsements from peers or existing Senior Members.
Fellow Member Eligibility
Candidates must meet one or more of the following:
1. Scholarly Excellence
o Substantial body of peer-reviewed publications, books, or patents.
o Recognized for advancing academic or applied knowledge.
2. Innovation & Original Contributions
o Developed or implemented novel technologies, methods, or practices with lasting impact.
3. Leadership & Influence
o Senior leadership in academia, research, or industry.
o Contributions influencing policy, practice, or innovation at national or international levels.
4. Recognition by Peers
o Recipient of awards, honors, or memberships in highly selective associations.
5. Global Standing
o Nationally or internationally recognized for sustained contributions that set them apart from peers.
Article V – Nomination & Selection Process
Member
• Direct application with academic/professional credentials.
• Reviewed and approved by the Membership Committee.
Senior Member
• Application with portfolio of contributions, leadership evidence, and endorsements.
• Reviewed by the Senior Member Review Board.
Fellow Member
1. Nomination
o Candidates may be nominated by existing Fellows or Senior Members.
o Self-nominations must be supported by two Senior Members or Fellows.
2. Evaluation
o Applications reviewed by the Fellow Selection Committee comprising distinguished academics and industry leaders.
3. Approval
o Recommendations sent to the Governing Council for final approval.
o Only those meeting the highest standards of distinction shall be elected as Fellows.
Article VI – Voting & Decision-Making
1. Each committee member shall hold one vote.
2. The Chairperson of the relevant committee shall hold two votes and a casting vote in case of a tie.
3. Final approval of Fellow Membership shall rest with the Sciforce Governing Council.
Article VII – Rights & Privileges
Members
• Access to Sciforce resources, publications, and events.
• Participation in conferences, seminars, and training.
Senior Members
• All Member privileges, plus:
o Eligibility to mentor junior members.
o Recognition in Sciforce’ssenior member registry.
o Eligibility to serve in leadership roles on committees.
Fellows
• All Senior Member privileges, plus:
o Use of the post-nominal title “FSciforce”.
o Recognition on Sciforce’s official platforms.
o Eligibility to serve as Chair, Co-Chair, or Keynote Speaker at international events.
o Invitations to contribute to policy-making, global collaborations, and strategic initiatives.
Article VIII – Duties & Responsibilities
1. Members, Senior Members, and Fellows shall uphold the values and mission of Sciforce.
2. All members must contribute to:
o Mentorship and professional development.
o Collaboration in academic and industrial projects.
o Promotion of interdisciplinary knowledge.
3. Fellows, in particular, are expected to act as ambassadors of Sciforce, advancing global partnerships and thought leadership.
Article IX – Benefits
• Formal certificate of membership, senior membership, or fellowship.
• Recognition in Sciforce’s official membership directories.
• Opportunities for networking, collaboration, and academic publishing.
• Reduced fees for Sciforce conferences, journals, and programs.
• Enhanced visibility and global recognition for Senior Members and Fellows.
Article X – Implementation & Enforcement
1. These bylaws shall take effect upon approval by the Sciforce Governing Council.
2. The Membership and Fellow Selection Committees shall oversee compliance and recognition.
3. Amendments require Governing Council approval by a two-thirds majority.
4. The three membership levels—Member, Senior Member, and Fellow Member—shall remain the foundation of Sciforce’s professional recognition framework, representing progression from engagement to leadership to global distinction.
